It’s been really cold this week. In our city, it has never been this cold and lately because of the cold, in the mornings one can see that everything is covered in frost. The roofs, the cars, the grass , they are all white, like there’s some snow that fell. Since we haven’t been to any snowy place yet and it never snows where we’re at, these past mornings I always tell my son to look out the window and look at the “snow-capped” roofs and grass. We get a little excited watching the frosted lawns and rooftops.
So I’ve always thought that maybe yun mga puti or yung matagal nang nakatira sa America will not be as excited as me and my son will be when we get to see snow since they grew up in America, di ba? They probably have seen lots of snow so baka deadma na lang sila pag nakakakita ng snow…
Pero akala ko lang pala yon..
Two days ago, a white car, probably the company owner who just got back from Lake Tahoe, parked her car with all the snow still on top of her car and what do you know, yung mga puti all wanted to look at the car with the snow !! Wow ha, kala ko ako lang ang sabik sa snow! Mas excited pa yata yung mga puting katrabaho ko. One puti even gathered all the snow he can and made it into a ball, made the rounds and showed it to everybody. Grabeng kaligayahan?
Hehehe.. pare-pareho lang pala ang puti at mga Asiano pagdating sa snow.. parehong mga sabik sa snow..

And another Pinoy wins! After Manny Pacquiao captured the world with his winning fight with Cotto , another Pinoy- Efren Penaflorida, made headline when he won the CNN Hero of the Year Award.
O di ba , ang galing ? At saka nakakatouch naman talaga yung pagsasakripisyo nya and his team. Sana nga madami pang Pinoy ang maging katulad nya, may pagmamahal sa kapwa Pilipino.

We were at KMart last night and there was this pretty lady who was dressed nicely, had a black coat on, who suddenly stopped us and asked if we speak in English so we said “yes”. My first thought was she looked pretty nice and decent and doesn’t look like a homeless but I was puzzled as to why she would stop us. She said that the item she was holding, a lotion I think, was the cheapest she could get. I thought “where is this leading to? ” but things began to be clear when she asked if we can spare her $2.59, the alleged price for the lotion.
I stood there uncomprehending, like I couldn’t believe that someone would be asking money to buy a lotion!
I turned to my husband since I never carry cash with me, and I saw him reaching for his pockets and giving her two dollars and some cents.
I started to walk away before this “transaction” ended. Inside I was smiling and thinking, “how can you still think of buying a lotion if you don’t have money to buy it “. But oh well, it’s recession maybe she lost her job and doesn’t have money to buy a lotion which by the way is pretty needed in these times of chilly weather, without lotion your skin will dry up in the cold season. At syempre kahit hikahos ka, dapat beauty ka pa din. Importante din talaga ang lotion di ba? (hehehe)
I heard my husband say Merry Christmas to her before walking behind me. ..
