On Foreclosed Homes
Posted By Admin on February 7, 2009
There are just too many houses which got foreclosed and are vacant these days, which makes me wonder, where did these homeowners go?
It is such a pity at what happened to these previous homeowners. They lost their houses and now these houses are being vandalized and being looted, or being set on fire. One man died because of one of these arson cases on one vacant house. One house that was shown on KTVU channel 2 showed a house that was so severely vandalized that your heart will just bleed. The hooligans knocked down walls, made graffitti on the walls, destroyed bathrooms so some of theseĀ houses are being sold “as is” as low as 100,000. But who will be interested to buy a house that is so defaced and needs a lot of work?
But some buyers, if ever there are any, are cautious about buying foreclosed homes because some previous owners are the ones who also make some malicious things on the homes they are leaving. One of my co-workers had a friend who bought a foreclosed house but found out that the drains are not working because the previous owner poured cement on the holes.
It is tempting to buy a home these days since they are priced low but then not a lot are budging, because all of us are thinking the same way, what if we got laid off, where in the world are we going to get money for the mortgage?
And the economy doesn’t seem to be getting any better yet.
