My Mom

I petitioned my Mom to come here to the US last July 2009 and June 4, 2010 she finally arrived at the San Francisco airport.
During her first months of stay, she enjoyed the land of Uncle Sam, but when the “ber” months came, she kept complaining of the cold weather so December 5, we were at the San Francisco Airport again to see her off.
It was like she was on a 5-month tourist visa that she really had to leave. 
Oh well, can’t do anything about it, I guess that’s how it really goes. How many stories have I heard of them oldies complaining of the cold season in America? And I can’t blame them , it really is cold and besides, they have nothing to do at home so it adds to the cold. And then when you tell them to wear mittens or scarf or thick jackets or turn on the heater, they’d say ” no, it’s okay” or ” later” .
Right now, I heard my Mom’s complaining again… of the hot weather in my beloved Philippines. When she was here in the US, she had centralized ” air-conditioning”, now that she’s in the Philippines, she has centralized ” heater” .. It’s funny..
