More Layoffs at Work Part 1

Four more people got laid off today. It was a sad day for all of us at work.
Everybody was quiet and tried to look calm inspite of the bad news. But in reality, I think all of us were trembling deep inside, hearts pounding at the thought of ” Will I be next? ” .
At the meeting today, the big Boss told us about the reduction of the workforce that happened and asked if anybody had any question. Nobody had anything to say. What’s to say in times like these? What would you question? We all know that the company is just looking out to save itself and the jobs of those who are still left.
I don’t know how long our company can hold out.
