Paranoia
Husband says I am too paranoid just because :
- I do not venture out of the house to take a walk and take my baby to the park which is just a block away from our house. He thinks that being too-cooped up in the house is the cause of our baby’s eczema…
- I always lock the door of our room even if I have company inside the house… coz sometimes they forget to lock the front door and what if some body comes in, you know like what we see in the movies, then he kills everybody in the house? :gasp:
- I tell him to lock his car doors when he uses it just in case some jerk comes up to him and yanks him out of the car and take off with us inside the car…
- I lock all doors of the car whenever he goes out to buy something at the gas station coz somebody might come in and (again) , take off with us inside the car… remember that little boy whose mother went inside a gas station convenience store to get something and what do you know, a woman, got inside her car and took off with her 4 year old son…
- I do not open the door even if somebody repeatedly rings the doorbell, even if sometimes it was already him knocking… one time it was the mailman, good thing I saw the mailtruck or else the package that Mama sent would be returned to her… hahhaha …
- I tell him to park elsewhere when he parks near somebody who looks like a hoodlum , you know what I mean…
- I would peek at the window to check why the dog keeps on barking …
- I asked him where me and the baby should go just in case a quake occurs and in line with this, which bag I should pack all the basic necessities needed when it happens and then where the gas valve is just in case i needed to turn off the gas ….
So am I really being paranoid ? Well, not really, it’s just called being “careful” , “watchful”, “cautious” but not paranoid, definitely not.
But to explain my actions further, who knows when bad things will happen? Who knows what will happen when I go out there for a stroll with my baby. What if somebody just stops by and grabs us ? Some things happen when you least expect it so for me, it’s better to be cautious than be a victim.
